Ahhhh, summer!

Hi friends and family!

It's been such an incredible summer so far, I have actually decided that it simply couldn’t get any better! We have been blessed. The 4th of July has come and gone and Caleb got to experience some more firsts…a patriotic parade and a visit to the Sassy Cow factory all while spending some quality time with Grams and Papa. We had a lovely afternoon on State Street that weekend complete with a Mexican lunch and Gelato! Later, we grilled some kabobs and relished in the relaxing atmosphere filled with Caleb and Papa giggles.

This past weekend we headed up north with 3 other families to spend a few days at a cabin near Adam’s Friendship. We all had a blast! I am so thankful for our event planner of the group who put the whole weekend together right down to the meals; I really don’t know what we would do without her. The cabin was so cozy and couldn’t have been filled with more love, food or happy kids! With 8 adults and 8 children all under the age of 5; one might have thought we would have had a less then relaxing weekend chasing the kids around and worrying about naps; but in the end it was so much fun, very peaceful, accident-free, AND the kids all got along and had a blast. We enjoyed a couple of boat rides, lots of swimming in the lake and great campfires complete with pudgy pies! Caleb had a full weekend too. He got to go swimming, fishing and even helped pick up kindling wood for the fire. I truly hope it does become an annual summer event. My favorite part had to be watching the kiddos bond and get dirty together! We have been blessed with great friends and I am truly honored to raise our kids alongside of them. Great people, priceless memories!
